VIII Simposio Edith Stein: Ética y filosofía del Ser

 

Centro de Estudios Interdisciplinarios en Edith Stein
The Centro de Estudios Interdisciplinarios en Edith Stein [Center for Interdisciplinary Studies Edith Stein], based at the Theology Faculty of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, organizes a symposium every year studying the life and thought of Edith Stein (Teresa Benedicta de la Cross). From its foundation its members have made a continuous reading of the main works of this philosopher. This year the theme "Ethics and Philosophy of Being" is born from the study of the text, "Potenz und Akt" which attempts to establish a dialogue between faith and reason and, more specifically, between the thought of St. Thomas and Edmund Husserl. For this reason, the renowned specialist Mariano Crespo Sesmero of the University of Navarra and Pbro has been invited. Carlos Alejandro Bertolini of the Universidad Católica Argentina.
