"Taking Stein Studies to the Next Level"

"Taking Stein Studies to the Next Level" will be a two-day seminar hosted in Maynooth University's Arts and Humanities Insitute on July 25-26, 2022. The morning session on Monday, July 25th will comprise a close-reading seminar of Stein's On the Problem of Empathy. We will have several guest speakers in the afternoon. The sessions on Tuesday, July 26th will consist of discussions regarding 1. how best to publicize Stein's work for Husserl in light of the forthcoming publication of the materials she had at her disposal while composing the draft text of Ideas II and 2. her role in the debate concerning phenomenology and being.
