The organizers seek innovative contributions that draw from or deepen our understanding of the Mengerian tradition of Austrian economics and the Brentanian tradition of Austrian philosophy. For the purposes of this conference, the Brentanian tradition is demarcated as that which starts with Brentano and culminates in the work of the students of his students, such as Edith Stein, Adolf Reinach, Roman Ingarden.
With specific reference to Stein, the organizers seek work concerning her description of empathy, and corroborating findings in science, including research in neuroethics and neurophenomenology.
Abstracts may not be longer than 500 words and they should be submitted for blind reviewing. Any questions should be submitted to the Conference Chair,Gloria Zúñiga y Postigo (gloria.zunigaypostigo@uta.edu).
