On October 12, 2021 we will celebrate the birth of one of the greatest philosophers and cultural figures of the 20th century: Edith Stein, Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. It is a good time for us to evaluate the legacy of her thinking and spirituality that has spread to practically the whole world. IASPES invites you to participate with philosophical contributions that primarily highlight Stein in relation to other traditions, philosophers, cultures and historical times. We welcome papers that discuss the different levels and registers in which Stein’s rich thought has entered, with an emphasis on the critical evaluation of how the world has received her philosophy and her person. We encourage submissions articulating the significance of the anniversary of her birth in context of the debates that traditionally emerge from her philosophical, theological and spiritual writings. Papers on ontology, philosophy of woman, philosophical anthropology, human associative forms, the philosophy of psychology, and pedagogy are also welcome.

Keynote Presentations:

Anna Maria Pezzella, “Stein’s Pedagogical Phenomenology and the Educational Emergency of Today”

Eduardo González Di Pierro, “LOS MUCHOS LEGADOS DE EDITH STEIN”
